IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO READ BEFORE REGISTERING
We offer ‘weekend-only’ registration in the hope it enables those of you who may be travelling from further afield in Tasmania, or who cannot take time out of work during the week, to participate in a meaningful way in the shared learning and connection offered at our conference.
Saturday’s program includes a bus pick-up from Salamanca at 11.00am, a packed lunch, a trip over Kunanyi mountain and back to Tarremah Steiner School in time for the panel discussion on the topic of the week’s lectures, with all three of our overseas presenters.
Following afternoon tea, registrants can choose to attend one of the 11 workshops offered, each 90 minutes long, leaving time to tour the kindergartens, purchase beautiful art, crafts, and products in keeping with the Steiner ethos, at ‘the Marketplace’, and to catch up with friends and colleagues from around the country.
The highlight of the day will be a lecture by Philipp Reubke, head of the Pedagogical Section of the Goetheanum, on “Waldorf Education: Support for Inner and Outer Activity”, with examples taken from kindergarten and school grades. The lecture is an introduction to the annual general meeting for SECA, the Australian Association for Rudolf Steiner Early Childhood Education.
After the AGM and a sumptuous final conference dinner, you will be treated to an evening of performances, including eurythmy. Bus transport back to the city is included.
On Sunday morning the bus will bring you back to Tarremah from the city for a second lecture by Philipp Reubke, on the topic “Supporting the Consciousness of the Unity of Life - Waldorf Education as Contribution to an Ecological Attitude”.
Finally, we will draw the raffle - a wonderful Vital Years’ fundraising tradition – with many beautiful prizes that you can see as they are uploaded on the SECA website, then share morning tea before the closing and farewells for the week-long conference.
We hope you will join us.
