Saturday, APRIL 5, 10am to 3pm at the Castlecrag Campus of Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School, 121 Edinburgh Road, Castlecrag.

AGENDA

The theme of this meeting will be beginnings ……beginning the day, beginning the year, welcoming  and supporting the beginnings of others (families, children, teachers, assistants) as they journey into Steiner Education. We will then finish the day with a little focus on the experience of ending the day (of course beginnings and endings go hand in hand…)

9:30am Arrive and drop off food, lyres and bags in Marion Mahony Griffin Hall kitchen and then gather at Playgroup Room for herb tea. (signposts will direct)

10:00am  Sandra Frain to guide us through the beginning of a Playgroup Day with a little story and sour dough bread making.

10:30 Kindergarten playground and experience of Kindy start to day. Acknowledgement, Morning Greeting Song and Harvest Circle.

10:45 Introductions with a focus on one little jewel related to theme of how you start the year. Eg. A little beginning of the year ritual, looking at the term as a whole, review previous year and make adjustments, something new for the new year, redo the garden, mend dolls, buy a new mat etc.

11:15 Sing a communal blessing (round) and then sharing of sourdough and morning tea.

11:30 Bec Whitcombe – contribution to theme. Beginnings and inner preparation.
