Early Childhood Assistant - Mansfield Rudolf Steiner Kindergarten

Mansfield Rudolf Steiner Kindergarten is a sessional kindergarten that provides three-year-old and four-year-old programs based on the practices and principles of Rudolf Steiner. We strive to create a warm and nurturing environment and to develop imagination and wonder in every child. Ideal applicants would show a keen interest in working within the principles of Steiner/Waldorf Early Years Education and be willing to complete the relevant Steiner training.

Duty list:

Duties may include assisting in the following:

  1. Arrival & departure of the
  2. Morning tea – preparation, participation and cleaning
  3. Tidying, caring for, and maintaining the
  4. Supervising children in
  5. Preparation for artistic activities.
  6. Participation in Morning Circle and Story
  7. Routine cleaning, tidying, and maintenance as Other duties arising in the normal course of the session

 

General duties & requirements:

  1. Be at school for the committed hours of employment and be punctual for lessons duties and meetings.
  2. Attend Staff and faculty meetings, as well as other relevant meetings as determined by the School Leadership Team.
  3. Actively work as part of a team, both with Faculty and the School as a
  4. Attend and participate in whole School festivals open days and
  5. Attend and participate in curriculum/staff development days and in-service or training
  6. Be available to attend relevant meetings, workshops and conferences outside school
  1. Follow up and be familiar with all school policies including the VELYDF and
  2. Maintain professional standards at all times, particularly with regard to communication, confidentiality, collegiality and School Ethos.
  3. Have appropriate qualifications (Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood)
  4. Demonstrate commitment to implementing the Victorian Child Safe
